Why?
Have a clear K-5 progression that is developmentally appropriate.
Know what our colleagues are expecting K-5.
Reflect on areas and continue to improve as a system.
How?
  1. Meet with grade level teams and fill in your thoughts.  (2:30-2:45)
  2. Find your topic based on your groups colors.
Discuss your topic K-5 and take notes. (2:45-3)

  1. Add We notice…  We wonder.., in your area to guide committees in next steps. (3-3:15)
  2. Review other areas and add to the document (3:15-3:30)

.  This is a chance to open your room to others to visit.  This will help us be better together.

Select a facilitator, note taker, and timekeeper
Review norms
  • We will start and end on time.
  • We will come prepared with realistic agendas and stay on topic.
  • We will be present and use devices appropriately
  • We will be respectful of others opinions, feelings, perspectives, and assume positive intent.
  • Look at the bigger picture, not only what impacts you, but what’s best for all kids, and be willing to be flexible.
  • We will be professional and confidential in and outside of meetings.

Personalized Learning

We will continue our year long goal of learning about Personalized Learning through the lens of balanced literacy.    We will model our learning.  We will alternate all staff seminars to have a common understanding with  choice seminars to personalize your learning.
