Kindness Challenge at Concord Jan. 22-26

Kindness Challenge at Concord
Jan. 22-26

Why?
All kids deserve to learn in a safe, supportive and caring environment. The Great Kindness Challenge provides a powerful tool that actively engages students, teachers, administrators, families, and communities in creating a culture of compassion, acceptance, unity, and respect.

It fits with our Jan. ICCAR Value of  Appreciation of Diversity.

Our behavior data shows the need for respect and kindness.

Here is a resource for the Kindness Challenge.

School-wide we will...
1.  Do the kindness challenge checklists.

Students will hand them in the office when completed.
Acknowledgements will be made on announcements.

2.  Announcements will include the Kindness Quotes, Kindness challenges, and acknowledgements of Kind acts.

3.  During Recess on Monday- Wednesday we will have the option for students to go to the Kindness station p. 58 by the office to make cards, friendship bracelets, friendship beads, etc.

4.  We will have kindness labels in your mailboxes you can give to kids when you see them being kind.

5.  On Thursday, we will give out kindness bracelets in which teachers have 3 and when they see a kind act they pass one on.  That student wears it until they see a kind act and pass it on.  We want to spread kindness at Concord.

Check out ideas you can add in your classroom...
