Celebrations

Please take some time to reflect and celebrate the great work of 2017-18
I couldn't be more proud of the dedication we have to help each student to grow and succeed.

Professional Learning Celebrations

PLC's are...

Consistent meeting times and process
Learning from each other

We had teachers from each grade attend the literacy Lesson Studies to see Being a Reader and Making Meaning in action.

Students are reading more and enjoying different books.


Teachers are using small group instruction and conferrring to determine coaching points to help them grow as readers. 


3rd grade experimented using the Fountas and Pinnell Reading assessment to find students reading levels and find their strengths and next steps for instructon foccusing on accuracy, fluency, or comprehension.



Learning Celebrations

Teachers have learned about the reading intervention Leveled Literacy Instruction.   1st grade had 37 students in the red according to the DRA and FAST reading assessment in January.   All 6 teachers and Andrea taught a small group in LLI and in March they only had 6 students in the red.  Huge growth!

3rd-5th grade  had 81.8% of their students Preliminary meeting or exceeding expectation on the Reading MCA's and 85.8% on the Math MCA's and 77.4 in Science.


85% of Kindergarten and First Grade Students met FAST expectations in May.

Behavior Celebrations

2017-18-    1.29 Average Major/ Bottom Line Behaviors per day

(This month it is already 1.78)

83% of  students in Check In Check Out  graduated with meeting their goal of 80% of the days meeting 80% of their points.
