You may remember this nursery rhyme for your childhood. The good news is we CAN put Concord back together again and it is currently happening.
This week they added final windows and doors, cameras and cables are finished up, sod was laid, the parking lot striped, cabinets installed, bathrooms have been finished up, fixtures are being added, more furniture was delivered, and the HVAC began working. We have an inspection today at 2:00. The crews are continuing to work all weekend to be ready for our students!
The school is looking beautiful. Please remember NOT to come to school until I communicate that we have received the certificate of occupancy.
Here is a tentative list of dates on the home stretch:
Aug. 10-13- Cleaners are cleaning the building
Aug. 13- Inspections are happening
Aug. 14-18- Movers
Technology will be added following movers
Here is a draft of priorities
- Front Office
- Wireless and Infrastructures
- New Teachers
- Classrooms
- Media Center
- Flexible Spaces
Sometime this week! Aug. 21-25- Certificate of occupancy- I will confirm when you are able to enter the building so please do not come sooner.
Aug. 23- 10am Life Safety Inspection with alarms etc.
Aug. 25- For sure we will be back in our building. This is our clerical day. It is a duty day but if we are able to come back early, you may log 8 hours on this Google Doc.
The custodial staff will be busy moving items so we will have an book in the workroom for you to list needs. The custodial staff will check the book and complete tasks as soon as possible. This will be an efficient way to address needs. Please try to only list essential items for the start of the school year because I have a feeling they will be swamped.
Black Label items will be available in the Multipurpose room when you are setting up your room. Help yourself. If you need something moved, put your name and room number on it and add it to the book.
